This voyage will start from the historic city of El Puerto where Ar Seiz Avel is moored at Marina Peurto Sherry.
El Puerto .. Cadiz .. Lanzarote .. Las palmas
On the day of our departure after our safety briefing and the “Man Overboard” drills. We will set sail for the beautiful and historic city of Cadiz the next day after our adventures there we will say good by to the last of the Spanish coastline, as slowly the swells and waves will increase as we sail towards the open sea.
Now we start our offshore “Sail training” program in earnest. This is a great opportunity to work on our offshore sailing skills, safety at sea, watch keeping and other practical sailing techniques. We will also start practicing “Noonsight's” with the sextant to determine our Latitude.
We should be on the lookout for Lanzarote. This is the most Northern Island of the Canary Island group and time permitting ,could also be our first landfall. On our way further South we are also planning to stop in Puerto del Rosario on the Island of Fuerteventura. The large and busy port of Las Palmas on Grand Canaria is our final port of destination.
